A series of guided rage-writing journals

Welcome to Murder the Page, a collection of rage-writing journals created for the moments when life, hormones, relationships, work, family, or one particularly irritating human being, have pushed you to your limit. Write it down.

Rage on the page, not people.

Putting feelings into words is a form of emotion regulation. Research on affect labeling, literally naming what we're feeling, has found that putting emotions into words can reduce emotional reactivity. Expressive-writing research has also studied what happens when people privately write about stressful or emotional experiences, and the positive effect on our emotional health.

Rage writing is so useful, because it gives you somewhere private to put the thoughts you don't want to carry around, the first reaction, the angry one, or the completely unreasonable reaction. The thing you're thinking before you've decided whether it's something you actually believe, something you need to address, or simply something you needed to get out. Writing it down creates space between feeling something and doing something with that feeling, and sometimes that space is exactly what we need. It's not about pretending you're fine, or forcing yourself to find the positive. No one is judging what comes out. Because anger isn't the problem. What we do with it matters.

Murder the page(not people). Then decide what comes next.

WHY RAGE WRITING?

Murder the Page: ORIGINAL

A 90 day rage-writing journal for the shit life puts you through.

No special occasion required.

Traffic. Work. Family. Relationships. Other people. Yourself. The person standing in the middle of the grocery-store aisle with their cart sideways.

Whatever pissed you off today, this is where you put it.

Murder the Page: Original gives you a place to rage write about whatever is getting to you, without needing to make it productive, positive, or pretty.

Some things just need to get out of your head and onto a page.

Murder the page. Not the people.

Murder the Page: DIVORCE

A 90 day rage writing journal for everything you can't put in the text message.

Divorce comes with grief, anger, relief, resentment, fear, frustratio, and occasionally a very detailed imaginary argument you have already won twelve times.

This journal gives those thoughts somewhere else to live.

Write what happened, write what you wish you could say, and write the version that absolutely should not be sent to your ex, your attorney, your former mother-in-law, or the group chat.

Then close the book.

Murder the Page: PERIMENOPAUSE

A 90-Day Rage-Writing Journal for When Your Hormones Have Chosen Violence

The irritability. The completely disproportionate reaction. The person chewing three rooms away who has somehow become your mortal enemy.

Perimenopause can affect far more than your period, and changes in mood, irritability, stress, and anger can catch women completely off guard.

This 90-day guided journal gives all of that somewhere to go.

Each day includes a prompt designed to help you identify what's getting to you, get the unfiltered version onto the page, and move forward without taking it out on everyone around you.

Murder the page. Not the people.

More reasons to murder the page are coming.

Relationships. Motherhood. Work. Family. Breakups. And all the other parts of life that occasionally make us question our commitment to being reasonable.

Be the first to hear about new Murder the Page journals, releases, and everything else we're plotting. No felonies required.
